2023 Vendor Summit: Seizing Opportunities in a Rapidly Growing and Exciting Time

Supply chain, project development, artificial intelligence, nuclear energy, sustainability, and ethics were among the topics discussed at CyrusOne’s recent annual Vendor Summit which brought nearly 300 of CyrusOne’s partners and suppliers together for learning and networking.

“We live in a time of tremendous growth in the data center industry, and that creates a tremendous opportunity for CyrusOne and for our partners and suppliers,” said CEO Eric Schwartz. “We’re seeing very strong growth from our customers that are projecting strong growth into the future, and CyrusOne is very well positioned to serve the demands of our customers with the support of our partners and suppliers.”

Program highlights included guest speaker Mitch Joel, an entrepreneur and the author of Six Pixels of Separation, who talked about the explosion of data-demanding technologies and other trends impacting the data center industry. John Hatem, Executive Vice President, and Chief Operating Officer, discussed operations and construction via an AI-generated video presentation he created in only 15 minutes to illustrate the advent of AI technologies and other industry demand drivers. “AI demand outstrips cloud demand by 10 times,” he said.

CyrusOne leaders presented updates and informative insights on project development and projects, supply chain and procurement, solutions engineering, power, environment, health and safety, and more. Panel discussions with CyrusOne and partners addressed supply chain and power issues.

With all efforts of CyrusOne, vendors, and suppliers-focused customers, Andrea Munoz, Executive Vice President, and Chief Customer Officer, addressed how vendors fit into the customer ecosystem. She outlined five key areas of impact: quality of products and services, reliability and consistency, innovation by way of new ideas, technologies, and processes to help improve customer offerings, cost-effectiveness, and ethical and environmentally friendly business practices.
