CyrusOne Volunteers Time to Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Dallas During Sales Kickoff Conference

Each year, CyrusOne team members from around the world get together for our Sales Kickoff (SKO) conference with learning sessions on trending topics impacting the data center industry and to share insights on enhancing customer experiences. And we also take time to enjoy fellowship with each other as we do something meaningful for the community. At our event this year in Fort Worth, we celebrated 2023 accomplishments and customer successes and then got fired up about reaching company and customer goals in 2024.

This year, our CyrusOne team enjoyed volunteering with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Dallas (BGCD), filling 45 backpacks with school supplies for local children – but with a twist. Through an activity created by The Leaders Institute, we divided up into teams and raced through an indoor obstacle course while blindfolded. Each team member went through the course blindfolded and, with the help of the other teammates, picked up the items for the backpack donation.

In addition to the backpacks, CyrusOne was also proud to present BGCD with a $5,000 check to support other initiatives.

BGCD is one of the leading youth-serving organizations in North Texas, positively impacting more than 8,700 children ages 6-18. Their programs, based on the intellectual, physical, and social needs of youth, enhance character and self-esteem, are educational and fun, and contribute to youth fulfilling their potential. As soon as youth members walk through BGCD’s doors, they enter an environment of stability, consistency, and physical and emotional safety. BGCD Clubs are located in neighborhoods where the greatest need exists and are open when kids need them the most: after school, during spring and winter breaks, and all day during the summer. BGCD is able to provide these wholesome activities through the support of companies like CyrusOne and others.

We are happy to give back and be a positive force in our community! Check out a video from the event below:
