DALLAS (July 12, 2016) – Global colocation solutions provider CyrusOne (NASDAQ: CONE) advances its record-setting facility expansions with the commissioning of a significant amount of power and a new data hall at its San Antonio II data center. The company added 9 megawatts of critical power in conjunction with the newly finished data hall.

The exceptionally quick delivery time of the new 9 megawatts of power to the San Antonio II facility follows on the heels of CyrusOne’s record-setting groundbreaking to completion with its second data center building in Sterling, Va. The San Antonio II data center is expected to encompass up to 372,000 square feet upon second-phase completion.
“Due to the growing demand for colocation services in San Antonio, CyrusOne is continuously engaging in new developments for space and power,” said Kevin Timmons, chief technology officer, CyrusOne. “Our customers recognize that each day their project is delayed waiting for a data center to be constructed translates to significant dollars in forgone revenue. Through our Massively Modular engineering approach, CyrusOne is able to optimize materials sourcing to enable just-in-time data-hall inventory to meet customers’ most dynamic infrastructure expansions, providing for fluid and efficient businesses growth.”
