CyrusOne has two separate data center locations in Connecticut – Norwalk and Stamford. These data centers are designed specifically to meet the increasing demand for business continuity, disaster recovery and colocation primary production and backup. Each of our Connecticut data center colocation facilities offer professional service providers to assume ongoing responsibility for monitoring, managing and/or problem solving for selected IT systems and functions on your behalf.
The Norwalk data center is the largest data center in Connecticut operating 168,000 square feet of which 75,000 square feet has a 36-inch raised floor, supporting power and cooling underneath. Also featured is 30,000 square feet for work area recovery space. These dedicated office suites can be configured to meet our customers’ requirements. This is a carrier-neutral facility with two MDF rooms.
Power to this colocation is provided through three separate feeds from two different utility companies. This data center holds up to 16 MW of redundant power to back this facility up and supports high-density configurations.
Our Norwalk, Connecticut data center is conveniently located close to New York City and Fairfield County financial hubs as well as dozens of hotels and restaurants.
Our second data center is in Stamford, Connecticut, and it supports the distance-sensitive, mission-critical, synchronous data replication requirements of businesses across this vibrant region. Just 33 miles from midtown Manhattan, this data center offers easy access to New York, New Jersey, I-95 and Merritt Parkway. Housed within two buildings, this facility is 57,000 square feet with power and cooling delivered underneath a 24-inch raised floor design. This data center has two separate feeds from the utility company with a power supply of 4 MW and 2N uninterruptible power supply units and N+1 generator backup. There is 35,000 square feet available for work area recovery space featuring dedicated office suites available according to customer’s needs.
For both Connecticut data centers, all buildings and critical equipment have been built above a 500-year flood zone. These data center colocations are SSAE 16 and PCI compliant and Safe Harbor certified annually.
Security is always a top priority for us at CyrusOne. For both Connecticut data centers, we have a K4 rated perimeter fences, 24/7 video surveillance, dedicated year-round bonded security staff, and biometric access readers.
