New 425,000 square foot colocation center further expands the preeminent financial services colocation hub in the industry

DALLAS (November 30, 2016) – Global colocation solutions provider CyrusOne (NASDAQ: CONE) has broken ground on its newest addition to the Chicago market—a 425,000 square foot data center on the company’s Aurora, Illinois campus. Construction is commencing on part of the land acquired in March 2016 as part of the sale-leaseback transaction with CME Group. The newest data center will provide CyrusOne customers involved in the global financial markets with additional space and connectivity, as well as proximity to the CME Globex platform and it offers a unique ecosystem to energy, enterprise, fintech and cloud customers.

City of Carrollton tax incentive builds on Texas House Bill No.1223 to incentivize eligible data center customer purchases

DALLAS (November 10, 2016) – Global colocation solutions provider CyrusOne (NASDAQ: CONE) today announced that as a result of tax grant incentive agreement between the City and CyrusOne, the company has generated $3 million in tax savings for customers operating in CyrusOne’s Carrollton Texas data center. Passed in June 2013, the Carrollton tax incentive is an addition to the Texas state incentives, (H.B. No. 1223) which eliminated the state sales and use tax of 6.25 percent on data center utilities, infrastructure, and networks purchases. The Carrollton-specific incentive rebates up to another 0.5 percent in sales and use tax for the same customer purchases, or up to 50 percent of the taxes the city would normally receive.

New data hall adds 32,000 colocation square feet and 6 Megawatts of power to company’s largest data center campus

DALLAS (October 4, 2016) – Global colocation solutions provider CyrusOne (NASDAQ: CONE) continues its Phoenix-area expansion with the completion of a new data hall at the company’s Phoenix data center campus. The data hall was built into an existing shell and provides an additional 32,000 colocation square feet (CSF) and six megawatts of power to the campus. This expansion marks the company’s second one this year in Phoenix, with its first completed earlier in the summer.

The approximate 23 acres is located adjacent to the suburban Chicago data center CyrusOne acquired from CME Group earlier in April. The newly purchased parcel of land is planned for development over the next several years, and is expected to leverage a shared ecosystem with CyrusOne’s existing Aurora facility, including connectivity to the CME Globex global trading platform and a massive 90-MW substation.
