On Aug. 6, the CyrusOne foursome of Global Account Director Jeff Harrison, Account Director Chris Sponseller, Strategic Account Manager Maria Camacho and Global Marketing Director Laurene Richards played in the Jennie Edmundson Foundation’s 20th annual Spirit of Courage golf tournament at Dodge Riverside Golf Club and attended the Spirit of Courage Gala later that evening.

“Each year our Spirit of Courage event brings in more than $125,000 for our cancer center Charitable Patient Care Fund which assists uninsured and underinsured patients who need help covering expenses associated with cancer diagnosis and treatment,” said Tara Slevin, Jennie Edmundson Foundation chief philanthropy officer. “This is possible thanks to business and community partners like CyrusOne. We appreciate the team for sharing resources, time and enthusiasm to help raise needed funds and support for some of our most vulnerable patients. Thank you CyrusOne for including us in your philanthropic priorities and for putting the FUN in fundraising!”

CyrusOne was a Crystal Sponsor for the tournament, donating to sponsor a hole on the course while also participating in the festivities.

“CyrusOne prizes the relationship it has with the Council Bluffs Economic Development group, and our executives were delighted to become acquainted with this foundation that helps strengthen the local community,” Harrison said. “It was a privilege to participate and support this vital organization and the courageous people it serves.”

The Jennie Edmundson Foundation builds a bridge between its community and the Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital to enhance the resources that support hospital in meeting the community’s healthcare needs. The hospital provides, on average, nearly $10 million of care for the uninsured and underinsured each year. It also offers outreach programs throughout Southwest Iowa to ensure quality healthcare is available to everyone who needs it.

Our Council Bluffs I data center is located strategically and near the likes of Apple, AT&T, Facebook, Microsoft, Verizon, Yahoo and other giants that have invested billions into establishing data centers and running fiber-optic cables along the United States’ 41st parallel.
It’s also among our most sustainable facilities, boasting a low PUE without depleting local water supplies through a host of energy-efficient design features, such as high-efficiency uninterruptable power supplies, LED lighting, economizers, water consumption-free cooling with closed-loop chilled water systems and throttling variable frequency drives for CRAH units.
